On October 1, 2013 Maryland will be implementing a new Traffic Law Changes. Among these changes utilizing a cell phone with your hands will become a Primary Traffic Offence (a police officer may conduct a traffic stop based on the infraction).  While operating a cellular device while operating a motor vehicle the device must be utilized and paired with a "hands-free" device; devices such as a Bluetooth earpiece or an auxiliary device. If you do not have the hands-free device, pull safely to the shoulder or a safe location of the roadway, park the vehicle and then utilize your cellular device.  Additionally new seat belt laws will be implemented to the Maryland Traffic Codes that requires ALL occupants of the vehicle (no matter the age) be secured by a seat belt. These laws again go into affect on October 1st of 2013.

As always,

Drive Safely and obey all traffic laws.
