Rules and Regulations for Bulk Trash Pick-Up

Important:

To receive Bulk Trash Pick-up, you must notify Town Hall 2 weeks prior to pick-up day, which is the 2nd Monday of each month and no later then 2:00pm the Friday prior to pick-up day. 

Pick-up has been limited to first come first serve basis, limited first 50 residents to call in.

No more than 3 items at pick up and those items must be on the list or they will not be picked up.

All materials for Bulk Trash Pick-up must be put out along the curbside the night before to assure pick-up.

At the Towns discretion items that appear to be infested, soiled, contaminated or otherwise hazardous in any way shall not be picked up during bulk trash.

Please make sure:

Mattresses and Box Springs must be placed in a disposable mattress bag for pick-up. (1 Mattress and Box Spring per household)

Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, and anything using a motor, must have the motors removed.

Refrigerators must have doors removed.

Tires must be demounted from the rim, no more then 2 tires per pick-up.

We will not pick up:

Any items over 8 feet long.

Propane tanks.

Shingles.

Batteries.

Anti-Freeze.

Oil.

Cans of paint. (Any Kind)

 If you have items that do not meet the requirements the dump trailer rental is also available for a fee of $50 and whatever fees incurred upon the Public Works staff taking it to the Cecil County Landfill. Further inquiries regarding fees can be obtained by calling The Cecil County Landfill at (410) 996-6275.  Dump Trailer is 6x12 and 2 feet deep.
